YS Zip Shirt Navy

YS Zip Shirt Navy, a zipped version of the standard regular shirt by Yoko Sakamoto.

This is a front zip version of the YS standard regular collar shirt and features a moderately dropped shoulder line, a relaxed and wide body width, and a loose, relaxed size feel, while still having the elegant pattern-making that is typical of dress shirts. The silhouette has been reviewed for this season, and while the silhouette is relaxed as usual, it is produced with a more specific tailoring approach. It is a convenient item that can also be used like a light outerwear with seam pockets.

The Ramie with Cotton blended fabric is an original material woven at a historic loom in the Fuji-Yoshida region, using old-style looms. The warp is made of 140/2 gas-burnt yarn of the rare extra-long-staple cotton GIZA96, giving a beautiful surface without fluff. For the weft, 100/1 ramie, which has fewer knots and longer fibers than linen, is beaten at the maximum density to give tension and gloss. The fabric is washed and tumbled to give it a natural look, but the use of high-grade raw materials gives it a fine-grained surface and a material that is not too casual.

Yoko Sakamoto started her unisex brand in 2016. The designer emphasizes to bring the nature of the material to life in her clothing; designing clothing without interfering the original qualities and properties of the materials and the silhouette. She values actual wearing comfort while focusing on craftsmanship and manual procedures for designs, which result in her distinctive and unique style.
