Newspeak Classic Shirt Cot/Cashm. Off White, an oversized shirt inspired by classic menswear.

Made from an extremely soft cotton and cashmere blend material, this loose fitting shirt is ideal to wear throughout the year.

Featuring a blind button closing, tab collar construction and a kent collar.

The structure and pattern of the shirt has been playfully re-modified by placing the side seam volume to the back panel, removing the side-seams as a whole. Additionally, the shirt features a classic yoke and box pleat on the back. The fabric has a shadow-stripe giving it a very sophisticated look.

I've been working with Stef and Veronica of Newspeak Studio since the Autumn of 2023, and it is interesting to follow their journey and progress. Giving talented and emerging designers a platform to showcase their skill and craft is a very rewarding partnership. This shirt is a repeat of a previous edition I had in Black, and it has become a staple with Newspeak over time due to the timeless yet bold style of what is initially a classic men's shirt.

Newspeak Studio was founded in 2023 by Stef Reijnierse and Veronica Perjan. Based on extensive research of "Western Culture" tailoring and workwear garments from the 1870s onwards, their aim is to continuously redefine elegant nonchalance that withstand the test of time. Their atelier is based in The Hague, Netherlands.
