A linen fabric developed with the best linen weavers in the city of Shenzhen. Utilizing fine-count linen yarns, this fabric has been woven in very high density to ensure structural integrity even in light weights, making it the ideal summer shirting fabric.
Design: A relaxed open collar shirt, modeled after a shirt made famous by Japanese cosmetics company Kanebo, when it was still a cotton trader. The large, pointed collar is cut in such a way that it gently rolls the front edge open, into an angle that coincides with the tilted chest pocket, which again echoes the triangular reinforcement of the placket.
Motiv is an independent design studio from Beijing specialising in original patterns from the 1900s-1950s and converting them into a more functional style and cut. They focus on Tradition for the Future, a neo-classic approach to creating garments. Motiv strictly sources their fabrics from the top level mills in England, Ireland, Belgium, France, China and Japan.
