Motiv Pleat Denim Lightweight Herringbone Denim Light Indigo, minimalistic style pleated denim trousers made in a lightweight herringbone woven selvedge denim.

Made by the best narrow loom denim weavers in the South of China, this is a relaxed Summer version of Motiv's signature herringbone selvedge denim weave. Woven with a lightly twisted and lightly indigo dyed warp and gray cotton ramie weft, the fabric is then heavily washed with clear water to achieve a relaxed handle.

Design: A summation of early industrial making techniques. On top of the selvage side seams, features include a one-piece folded fly, faux yoke darts, trapezoid beltloops as well as four pleats for optimal shape and comfort. The entire garment has been made on single needle machines by Motiv's talented team of craftspeople.

Motiv is an independent design studio from Beijing specialising in original patterns from the 1900s-1950s and converting them into a more functional style and cut. They focus on Tradition for the Future, a neo-classic approach to creating garments. Motiv strictly sources their fabrics from the top level mills in England, Ireland, Belgium, France, China and Japan.
