Motiv Peak Lapel Jacket Cotton Linen Indigo, a re-iteration of Motiv's popular original Denim Lounge Jacket.
Motiv’s Summer hallmark denim commission done in collaboration with the best narrow loom weavers in China. A natural indigo dyed pure linen warp is interwoven with a linen cotton blend weft to offer unparalleled color, hand and breathability. Their signature thick selvedge, inspired by antique linen fabrics, has been applied to the end of the fabric.
Design: A re-iteration of Motiv’s popular original Denim Lounge Jacket, the shoulder has been re-cut significantly to accommodate a wider demographic. The side pockets have been made in the carved-in type to further enhance the garment’s longevity. Selvedge details still run throughout the garment - on the center back, facings, cuffs and last but not least, the undersleeve seams.
Motiv is an independent design studio from Beijing specialising in original patterns from the 1900s-1950s and converting them into a more functional style and cut. They focus on Tradition for the Future, a neo-classic approach to creating garments. Motiv strictly sources their fabrics from the top level mills in England, Ireland, Belgium, France, China and Japan.
