Motiv Litho Jacket Hemp Cotton Black, a refined version of the typical denim shirt jackets.
Made by the best narrow loom denim weavers in the South of China, this cotton hemp denim is made with a particularly crisp hand, giving it plenty of structure even at a light 8~9oz weight. Both the warp and weft are dyed jet black with sulfur based dyestuff, allowing the fabric to age beautifully over time. The fabric is pre-washed, taking out the majority of shrinkage.
Design: A box-cut denim shirt jacket. Featuring a large inverted chest pocket and two welted hand pockets, it is cut with a slender, elongated collar and overall low center of gravity to give it a relaxed air. Like all MotivMfg denim jacket designs, selvage is employed thorough the jacket, including the center back, facing as well as sleeve seams and cuffs.
Motiv is an independent design studio from Beijing specialising in original patterns from the 1900s-1950s and converting them into a more functional style and cut. They focus on Tradition for the Future, a neo-classic approach to creating garments. Motiv strictly sources their fabrics from the top level mills in England, Ireland, Belgium, France, China and Japan.
