Fullcount Jeans 1101W 13.7oz
Fullcount Jeans 1101W 13.7oz, a regular straight jeans from the legendary Osaka brand Fullcount.
Inspired by the iconic Levi's jeans that we all know, Fullcount has been one of the pioneers in the Japanese raw denim industry to preserve and improve these timeless styles.
The 1101W comes in a 13.7oz selvedge denim jeans that has been washed once in Japan. Due to the fabric being unsanforized but washed once, most of the shrinkage has been taken out already. For this reason, we suggest you get the size that is slightly difficult to close as the jeans will stretch out and shape to your body to get the right fit.
This regular straight fit is perfect to pair with (heavy duty) boots for a rugged look, sneakers for a casual urban vibe and even loafers to get a bit of that Ivy-league style.
The Japanese label Fullcount is one of the legendary "Osaka 5", a group of brands that propelled Japanese denim since the mid 1990s. Established in 1993 by Mikiharu Tsujita, Fullcount was actually the first Japanese jean brand to use Zimbabwean cotton to develop premium denim fabric. Zimbabwean cotton is renowned for its high quality amongst the cottons of the world. It is strong and durable cotton with a natural elasticity and softness which is the very embodiment of Fullcount’s spirit. Zimbabwean cotton grows in optimal climate conditions and are cultivated without the use of harmful pesticides. These cottons are handpicked instead of by a machine, ensuring a better quality in the cotton.
An interesting fact about Fullcount is that they are one of the few makers in the world that actually use the old Levi's shuttle looms from the 1960s, of which they bought 4 and are in use at their main weaving facility Shinya in Kojima, Okayama.
In addition, all threads used by Fullcount are 100% Supima cotton from Egypt which ensure a higher durability and fades in color along with the fading of the denim fabric.
Please note that (raw) denim in (natural) indigo might bleed on light surfaces and textiles such as white sneakers or an off-white sofa. We advise you to turn the jeans inside out and soak it in a bucket with cold water for 30 minutes, before the first actual wear. This way you rinse out a bit of leftover starch and indigo plus it takes out the final bits of shrinkage. The bleeding of indigo, as it is known as, is a characteristic of quality denim and will also occur during the early stages of wear.
