Evan Kinori Field Shirt Two Overdyed Linen Check Brown/Black, a lined lightweight overshirt in a reddish brown with black check dyed cloth.
A fully lined boxy overshirt with dropped shoulder seam, lined chest patch pockets with button-through closure, interior patch pocket, and corozo buttons. A looser fit than the original Field Shirt by Evan Kinori, but both feature a larger neck opening, to nest cleanly when layered over a buttondown.
Lightweight all linen cloth woven as a blacl & natural yarn dyed check, then overdyed with a hybrid Logwood dye for subtle irregularity in shade. Woven and dyed in Japan.
Evan Kinori is a American designer based in San Francisco, where is studio is based and the sampling and making of garments happens. I've been following Evan since he started out in 2015 and, in fact, I still have a copy of his very first newsletter in my inbox. Evan's calm approach to garment design and his overall feel for esthetics resonate deeply with my own views and values. His focus and dedication to designing a small, almost intimate, collection of versatile and functional pieces, are a pleasant shift away from modern-day bulk productions and ongoing collection cycles. If I were to choose one word that would describe Evan Kinori and his work, it would be: stillness.
