Evan Kinori Field Shirt Linen/Cotton Herringbone Dark Beige
Evan Kinori Field Shirt Linen/Cotton Herringbone Dark Beige, a lightweight overshirt in a herringbone woven linen and cotton cloth.
An over-shirt with french seams, cuff taper option, YKK metal tack buttons with wool washers, slightly dropped chest pockets with hidden button closure, curved collar tips and an invisible placket.
Lightweight, very soft linen/cotton yarn dyed herringbone. After being woven with a beige and natural yarn, the cold overdye process results in irregularity and wobble in saturation.
Hand dyed at a small workshop in Okayama, Japan - where just two people push the boundaries in experimental dye processes. Woven in Japan.
Evan Kinori is a American designer based in San Francisco, where is studio is based and the sampling and making of garments happens. I've been following Evan since he started out in 2015 and, in fact, I still have a copy of his very first newsletter in my inbox. Evan's calm approach to garment design and his overall feel for esthetics resonate deeply with my own views and values. His focus and dedication to designing a small, almost intimate, collection of versatile and functional pieces, are a pleasant shift away from modern-day bulk productions and ongoing collection cycles. If I were to choose one word that would describe Evan Kinori and his work, it would be: stillness.
