Calmlence Shirt Jacket Houndstooth Beige/Dark Khaki, a loose-fitting linen shirt jacket designed by Kazuyuki Kumagai, founder of Japanese design studio CALMLENCE.

Relaxed tailoring coming together in the form of an open-collar shirt jacket. This is a yarn-dyed houndstooth fabric woven with undyed 80-count linen yarn and linen yarn dyed in dark khaki. For the warp, water-soluble vinylon was wrapped around the yarn during weaving and later dissolved during the washer finishing process. The combination of the delicate houndstooth pattern, the fine gaps created by dissolving the vinylon, and the soft texture resulting from the washer finish gives the fabric a beautifully layered and dimensional appearance.

All items are finished with water buffalo horn buttons that have undergone a fired treatment for a ceramic-like texture, enhancing their classic appearance. 

Each piece is hand-washed and sun-dried after completion to evoke a natural and richly vintage look.
