Calmlence Band Collar Pullover Shirt Dark Brown, a timeless lightweight shirt designed by Kazuyuki Kumagai, founder of Japanese design studio CALMLENCE.

A classic pullover band collar shirt, relaxed fitting in style and versatile in wearability. This is a plain-weave fabric made entirely from 80/1 linen yarn for both the warp and weft. To protect the fine linen warp yarns during weaving, water-soluble vinylon was wrapped around them. After weaving, the vinylon was dissolved during the washer process, giving the fabric a unique, soft, and voluminous texture. Before dyeing, the fabric underwent silkette processing at a specialized linen facility in the Omi region, known for its expertise in linen finishing. This treatment smoothed the fabricʼs surface and enhanced its elegant and refined appearance.

Buttons are made from water buffalo horn with a fired finish, adding a ceramic-like texture and reinforcing the classic character in the details. Each garment is carefully hand-washed and sun-dried to achieve a vintage-inspired finish with natural depth and richness.
