Founded in 2024 by Samuel Hsin Wei, co-founder of MotivMfg., together with renowned master shoemaker Rock Yeh. The Arch Support Project aims to create the next generation of handcrafted footwear. Each style embodies a unique timelessness technique with the soul of tradition. ASP is designed to interpret ergonomics architecturally by engineering leather with rare hand-construction methods — instituted and perfected in a workshop in South China — created and led by the renowned master shoemaker Rock Yeh.
The process of building the ASP shoes is done by hand, every step of the way. From the prepping of the leather, which is a month-long process of moulding and shaping by hand, to the welt construction up to the stitching of the leather. All done by hand by Rock Yeh and his team.
The Vachetta leather used in this capsule is from a German tannery named “Heinan”, operating since 1891. They are known for creating the natural recipe which you can make the leather hydrophobic during the tanning process in the drum. Instead of applying another layer of coating to create waterproof effect, Heinan’s leather is known for keeping the beauty of natural leather yet having a weather performance effect.
The Hunter Moc is a high-cut ankle boot with an ergonomic cut to support the foot on various key points. The outersole is made by Vibram. The toebox is designed based on the idea of your toes spreading apart when you take the next step thus needing more space, something which is often lacking in most shoes. This style can be worn both casual, for outdoor purposes and slightly dressed up.
