The style Double Breasted Issue II Homme is a technical double breasted coat in a mid length. The Double Breasted Issue II comes in 2 options: the well-known full tech fabric version and now, as a special edition, in a redefined version which uses repurposed materials of Norwegian Army tents!

Repurposing & redefining military utilitarian pieces for peaceful civil garments.  Norwegian Rain's sustainable core and their design ideas go hand in hand.  Armed with scissors and wits they set out to engineer nouveau versions of tried and tested matured ideas. This also included one of their earlier pieces. So the traditional Double Breasted coat got redefined and repurposed to present a new proposition. The Norwegian Army’s one man tent designed to used as a raincoat and also as tent that expands to form a communal tent was their departure point. Gathering as many used and surplus pieces as they could find and presto new recruits of Norwegian Rain waterproof garments!

This Norwegian brand has its roots in Bergen, known to be the wettest city in Europe as every 2 out of 3 days it rains. For this reason, the designers behind Norwegian Rain decided to develop the perfect technical and functional coat. How does it work?

For this new and unique program, we invite you to visit Store Du Nord in Den Haag, Netherlands. We’ll guide you through the styles, fabric types and colours and let you engineer your own, ultimate raincoat. In this new and easy set-up we have the opportunity to offer you more fabric options than ever before. Once you’ve found what you want, you scan the QR code on the coat and customise it as you like. If available in direct stock, then it’s delivered at your doorstep in 1-3 business days or, alternatively, you have a bespoke raincoat made in a special fabric and/or color. This exclusive bespoke option takes 6 weeks to make for you and comes with a surcharge.
