Motiv Swedish Thermal Knit Wool French Terry Charcoal, a thermal technical knit for year-round use.

A special development of MotivMfg that explores the potentials of wool as a base layer. Sourcing the best 60s mercerized wool yarn, they were able to create this high density jersey that is incredibly stable and pleasant against the skin. The mercerization process also renders the fabric machine washable. It took Motiv 9 months to develop the wool to such a form and functionality. The complicated process of interlinking loops to develop the terry wool means this material is very delicate and a bit prone to snagging, which requires delicate handling and washing in a laundry bag. Please know that snags, pulled loops, can be easily fixed by giving the fabric a good pull along the weft (horizontally) direction and gently rub the surface. Design: Motiv's take on Swedish military thermal shirts, the cut has been loosened for a fit that lies halfway between a thermal and a sweater. A single back seam has been added for shaping, while maintaining the dramatic back yoke of the original.
