Motiv Sidcot Leather Jacket  Straw, an absolutely mind-blowing Airforce flight coverall reinterpretation by master tailor Daniel Gu of MotivMfg.

Developed in collaboration with the renowned Chinese tannery Highland Yak, this leather uses the finest Italian kid horse rawhide. It is thoroughly infused with beeswax for exceptional softness and extensively washed to enhance its texture and patina. This special make features a wool blanket lining for extra comfort.

Design:A relaxed and elegant side zip jacket, taking cue from early Royal Airforce “Sidcot” flight coveralls. The asymmetrically cut collar can be worn up with the three snap buttons fastened or down for a nonchalant look. The paneled back features two functional bi-swing pleats and two adjustment tabs. The snap buttons, especially developed this season, is engraved in an abstraction of magnetic interference pattern.

Motiv is an independent design studio from Beijing specialising in original patterns from the 1900s-1950s and converting them into a more functional style and cut. They focus on Tradition for the Future, a neo-classic approach to creating garments. Motiv strictly sources their fabrics from the top level mills in England, Ireland, Belgium, France, China and Japan.
