Motiv Pleat Denim Trousers Donegal Denim/Char Brown, minimalistic style pleated denim trousers made in a neppy selvedge denim.

This winter denim, developed with top narrow loom weavers in China, features nep yarns in the weft to create a Donegal tweed-like effect. The fabric’s back undergoes a molleton process for added softness and warmth. The Char Brown version uses a sulfur-dyed warp, developing a rich patina with wear.

Design: A summation of early industrial making techniques. On top of the selvage side seams, features include a one-piece folded fly, faux yoke darts, trapezoid beltloops as well as four pleats for optimal shape and comfort. The entire garment has been made on single needle machines by Motiv's talented team of craftspeople.

Motiv is an independent design studio from Beijing specialising in original patterns from the 1900s-1950s and converting them into a more functional style and cut.
