A unique development by the Woolmark company, the Optim Wool is a 100% wool waterproof fabric. By stretching the wool fiber using special equipment and then letting it set and shrink during the finishing process, Optim wool can reach extreme density previously unattainable in wool weaving, giving it waterproofness unsurpassed by any other natural fabric. Being 100% wool, Optim Wool also has much better breathability, drape as well as longevity and far less environmental impact than its synthetic counterparts.

Design: A generous fitting fishtail parka cut with extra movement at the back, this excess can be gathered with an elastic band to form two "blade" shapes. The assymetric front edge forms elegant folds when worn open to fend off the elements, or down as a stand collar.

Motiv is an independent design studio from Beijing specialising in original patterns from the 1900s-1950s and converting them into a more functional style and cut. They focus on Tradition for the Future, a neo-classic approach to creating garments. Motiv strictly sources their fabrics from the top level mills in England, Ireland, Belgium, France, China and Japan.
