Hul Le Kes Monet Jacket Blanket Wool, a heavy duty winter vest made from upcycled wool by Arnhem-based studio Hul Le Kes.

Crafted from vintage wool blankets, each Monet Jacket is a one-of-a-kind piece. Finished with deadstock ribbed bindings, every detail is chosen to complement the character of the original fabric. Small repairs by Hul Le Kes's Recovery Studio honour the life of the material while ensuring lasting comfort. Carefully assembled at Hul Le Kes Manufacturing Studio in Arnhem, the Netherlands.

The vintage blanket wool used by Hul le Kes for the Monet Jacket is made using the upcycling of post-consumer and post-production waste, a process in which great resources can be found for re-using fabrics. This is also means that fabric stock and fabric options are limited. For the Monet Jacket, this means that each color you see comes in 1 specific size: ROSE in size 1/Small, SEAGREEN in size 2/Medium and Blue in size 3/Large. Keep in mind that this jacket fits roomy, intended to have a relaxed fit in every day wear.

Hul le Kes, founded by Sjaak Hullekes and Sebastiaan Kramer, focuses strongly on using upcycled materials and traditional techniques. Over 95% of the materials used are sourced from post-consumer and post-production waste. Their pieces are crafted in Arnhem, the Netherlands, where their studio is based. All the garments of Hul le Kes are made by their wonderful team of trained craftspeople and participants recovering from mental health challenges. By blending skill-building with emotional healing, Hul le Kes demonstrates that fashion can be a powerful tool for social change.
