A more contemporary version for those who'd like to be a bit more outgoing with their Barbour waxed jacket. The Cobalt Blue colortone offers a very nice, fresh switch-up to the classic tones. This style differs from the classic Bedale not only in fit, but also in sleeve detailing. Instead of the ribbed cuffs, the oversized Bedale features an adjustable fold-up cuff with snap button closing
The Bedale Wax Jacket, designed by Dame Margaret Barbour and first produced in 1980, was inspired by the practicality needed for horse-riding jackets hence the shorter length, relaxed fit, rear vents and Nylon drip strip ensuring any damp from riding didn't seep into the jacket.
Over time, the Bedale Wax Jacket has been embraced as both a "casual classic" for life in the city as well as a much appreciated countryside look.
