Barbour Oversized Bedale Patchwork Waxed Jacket Sage, the iconic wax coat by Barbour but in an oversized style featuring a waxed cotton fabric patchwork.
The iconic Barbour Bedale Wax Jacket re-imagined. This oversized version of the well-known Bedale is still made from a weatherproof 6oz. Thornproof waxed cotton. A more contemporary version for those who'd like to be a bit more outgoing with their Barbour waxed jacket. The Patchwork version offers a very nice, fresh switch-up to the classic tones due to the multitude in waxed cotton colors used for the patchwork style. This style differs from the classic Bedale not only in fit, but also in sleeve detailing. The oversized Bedale features an adjustable fold-up cuff with snap button closing that shows the Barbour tartan when foled upwards.
The Bedale Wax Jacket, designed by Dame Margaret Barbour and first produced in 1980, was inspired by the practicality needed for horse-riding jackets hence the shorter length, relaxed fit, rear vents and Nylon drip strip ensuring any damp from riding didn't seep into the jacket.
Over time, the Bedale Wax Jacket has been embraced as both a "casual classic" for life in the city as well as a much appreciated countryside look.
