Motiv Pleat Denim Trousers Indigo, Motiv's infamous early industrial made denim trousers.
Motiv’s hallmark Summer denim commission done in collaboration with the best narrow loom weavers in China. A natural indigo dyed pure linen warp is interwoven with a linen cotton blend weft to offer unparalleled color, hand and breathability. Their signature thick selvage, inspired by antique linen fabric, has been applied to the edge of the fabric.
Design: A summation of early industrial making techniques. On top of the selvage side seams, features include a one-piece folded fly, faux yoke darts, trapezoid beltloops as well as four pleats for optimal shape and comfort. The entire garment has been made on single needle machines by Motiv’s talented team of craftspeople.
Motiv is an independent design studio from Beijing specialising in original patterns from the 1900s-1950s and converting them into a more functional style and cut. They focus on Tradition for the Future, a neo-classic approach to creating garments. Motiv strictly sources their fabrics from the top level mills in England, Ireland, Belgium, France, China and Japan.
