Classic cotton typewriter shirting fabric produced by expert makers in Japan. Made with long staple Supima cotton, this fabric has a silkiness and subtle sheen. Two classic stripe patterns were selected for this season.
Design: Inspired by the dress shirts worn by 1930s androgynous icon Ruth von Morgen, this shirt features a once-piece stand and fall collar, which joins particularly cleanly to the shirt bodice, gathers across the back as well as a dramatically curved hem.
Motiv is an independent design studio from Beijing specialising in original patterns from the 1900s-1950s and converting them into a more functional style and cut. They focus on Tradition for the Future, a neo-classic approach to creating garments. Motiv strictly sources their fabrics from the top level mills in England, Ireland, Belgium, France, China and Japan.
