A 400gsm linen twill, made to Motiv’s own specifications with delave dyed warp and natural weft, this fabric develops fantastic fades and a beautiful drape after being sufficiently washed and only becomes more beautiful over time.
Design: Based on mid-century French aviator uniforms, this jacket features an unusual mid-length for its type along with atypical details with a French flair, such as a rounded collar shape, hidden buttons under the zipper, a quilted waistband and iconic, triangular shaped cuff adjusters.
Motiv is an independent design studio from Beijing specialising in original patterns from the 1900s-1950s and converting them into a more functional style and cut. They focus on Tradition for the Future, a neo-classic approach to creating garments. Motiv strictly sources their fabrics from the top level mills in England, Ireland, Belgium, France, China and Japan.
