Motiv Military Dispatch Coat Steel, inspired by World War I US Army dispatch rider coats . Made from a distressed Japanese nylon.
An unusually meaty Japanese nylon treated and distressed to give it a worn in quality. The result is a fabric with an almost metallic sheen, a hand and drape akin to natural fabrics and excellent wind and water resistance.
Design: Inspired by US Army dispatch rider coats in WWI, the hook closures of this coat allows for easy fastening without removing gloves. The metal buckled belt can be worn in two ways, as a half belt or wrapped around.
Motiv is an independent design studio from Beijing specialising in original patterns from the 1900s-1950s and converting them into a more functional style and cut. They focus on Tradition for the Future, a neo-classic approach to creating garments. Motiv strictly sources their fabrics from the top level mills in England, Ireland, Belgium, France, China and Japan.
