Motiv Hacking Jacket Overdyed Irish Linen HBT Chestnut

Motiv Hacking Jacket Overdyed Irish Linen HBT Chestnut, a reinterpretation of the 20th century British Hacking jacket.

Motiv’s latest iteration of high-quality garment dyed linen. This time they used a herringbone article from Irish linen maker Spence Bryson. At the perfect weight of 345g, this fabric perfectly bridges the gap between workwear and tailoring. The base fabric is woven in a white/natural two tone, giving is a slightly iridescent richness after the overdyeing process.

Design: A new member to Motiv’s tailored workwear family. The Hacking jacket is their interpretation of the traditional British hacking jacket. Cut with a longer bodice along with defined waistline, the front of the jacket feature four slanted patch pockets that accentuate the X-shape of the jacket, a hallmark silhouette in British tailoring.

Motiv is an independent design studio from Beijing specialising in original patterns from the 1900s-1950s and converting them into a more functional style and cut.
