Motiv DB Long Vest Ribbed Wool Coral, a minimalist double-breasted take on classic wool work vests.
A special development made with Scottish weaver Lovat Mills. Woven in a special corded structure with heavy Cheviot yarns, this fabric features a subtle two-tone stripe with a strongly tactile, three-dimensional effect. Weighing in at 800g/m, these layers of Cheviot yarns gives the fabric excellent drape, warmth and resilience.
Design: A minimalist DB work vest, featuring 8 buttons arranged in lofty proportion, it can be worn in multiple ways. The vest is flat felled and piped throughout, with three rows of top stitching on the outer edges, a detail taken from classic French workwear that is both hard wearing and elegant.
Motiv is an independent design studio from Beijing specialising in original patterns from the 1900s-1950s and converting them into a more functional style and cut. They focus on Tradition for the Future, a neo-classic approach to creating garments. Motiv strictly sources their fabrics from the top level mills in England, Ireland, Belgium, France, China and Japan.
