Motiv BD Shirt Cotton/Hemp Off White, a hommage to the classic button down shirt.

Classic cotton shirting fabric produced by expert makers in Japan. This cotton hemp blend fabric is made in lightweight and slightly open lawn structure, making it very soft and breathable, ideal for summer wear.

Design: A hommage to the classic button down shirt. Drafted according to an original 1950s instruction, it is cut with ample volume on the bodice and fitted armholes. Both the back yoke and cuffs feature gathering for freedom of movement. The generously cut collar features hidden button tabs, giving it a particularly clean look.

Motiv is an independent design studio from Beijing specialising in original patterns from the 1900s-1950s and converting them into a more functional style and cut. They focus on Tradition for the Future, a neo-classic approach to creating garments. Motiv strictly sources their fabrics from the top level mills in England, Ireland, Belgium, France, China and Japan.
