Kazuyuki Kumagai, the founder and designer of Calmlence, has been active in this industry for over 30 years. Having previously worked with reputed fashion labels as design lead, mr. Kumagai launched his own studio Calmlence in 2023. In his own words: "While working, I want to be in a state of complete tranquility, being able to focus on my task, with all of my soul." The extremely high level of tailoring techniques and fabric development result in unparalleled design that showcase an understated, relaxed elegance.
